Subject: [exim] Callforward Verification
Hi

I have an exim front end server and an exchange backend server. All seems
fine except that I can't send emails to users on 123-reg's server. all
messages come back as:

gordonmckee@???

SMTP error from remote mail server after RCPT
TO:<gordonmckee@???>:

host mx0.123-reg.co.uk [195.224.48.120]: 550-Verification failed for
<gordonmckee@???>

550 Sender verify failed

I have tried to see if callforward is working and AFAIK it is based on the
info below. If I telnet to the box and tap in two valid addressed it work
(see below) and if I tap in an invalid address (see further below) it fails
as it should do!!

telnet mail-1.optimalprofit.com 25
Trying 82.36.186.17...
Connected to www.optimalprofit.com.

If I telnet to the box and send to an invalid address I get the following:

telnet mail-1.optimalprofit.com 25

which indicats to me callout is working!!

Does anyone have any ideas why I can't send mail to
gordonmckee@??? (this is just one address I know I can't
send mail to!!)

Many thanks

Gordon
