Slightly relevant to the above. I've scripts that use curl to
download the Sanesecurity databases every six hours. But they only
do the download if the database has been updated since the last
download. The download is scheduled by cron.

I've configured ClamAV to check periodically (every 10 minutes) for
updated databases. It's the SelfCheck option in /etc/clamd.conf.

Yes, see above.  I expect my scripts would be easily adapted to
download the mirror.msrbl.com databases.  I'll look at this next
week.
