Subject: [exim] verification of valid recipient address on incoming relay (TLS)
Hello *,

sorry for repeating the question, I'm afraid I wasn't able to express
myself.

I'm using exim for relaying mails from outside world to some internal
server. For several reasons the network between my exim and the
internal server is not trusted, which forces me to use TLS.

To keep the small administration effort I'd like to verify the recipient
at connect time in some acl rule

    ...
    domains = +relay_to_domains
    verify = recipient/callout
    ...

The callout gets established, but not using TLS. I know that it was
that way in older versions of exim.

All remote transport have tls_* settings and even (for testing) the
hosts_require_tls = *, but during callout it seems to be ignored....

My question now is, if this is still true or if I just missed something
in the configuration? If TLS doen't work - is there some other way to
establish the necessary protection/privacy? (Except using some
VPN/Tunnel, ...)

    Best regards from Dresden
