... if you WANT the result, but DON'T WANT to 'list..' or 'have to write' so as
to specify to Exim what the result you want IS by editing..

Em... perhaps you can make the changes with the telephone?
i.e. - call a mailadmin person who doesn't mind editing...

AFAIK, deciphering human speech is not until 5.X, and mind-reading not until 6.X
