I'm reviewing an exim configuration that i have to deploy on firewall
or bastion hosts in my organization.
All these box does not have local deliverying at all, they simply
accept mail for a set of domains (pratically, *.lnf.it) and forward to
an internal host for real delivery (and clearly use callout for
verification).
In this days i've looked around ACL recipes to filter spam and so on,
reaching a rather complex exim4.conf.
But i've also seen that most of acl recipes are duplicated, one for
local_domains, one for relay_to_domains, with minimal differences and
with the first pratically unused (because as sayed, i pratically only
relay).
Clearly i have to qualify correctly the addresses, but:
+ It is safe to remove completely all local routers/transports, or not?
+ Can i set local_domains to an empty string?
Thanks.
