Subject: [exim-dev] [Bug 388] New: Log the system load when using smtp_load_reserve
http://www.exim.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=388

Summary: Log the system load when using smtp_load_reserve
           Product: Exim
           Version: 4.62
          Platform: All
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: NEW
          Severity: bug
          Priority: medium
         Component: Logging
        AssignedTo: ph10@???
        ReportedBy: john.horne@???
         QAContact: exim-dev@???

Is it possible to have the system load logged whenever one of the relevant
Resource control (section 14.10) commands are used? I'm using smtp_load_reserve
(among others) and see log messages such as:

2006-09-11 15:33:53 temporarily refused connection from [81.18.81.210]: not in
reserve list: connected=95 max=120 reserve=25

I know this is actually caused by the smtp_reserve_hosts command, but it might
be useful to know what the system load average was at the time this occurred.
Additional commands where the load average being logged may be useful could be
deliver_queue_load_max and queue_only_load?

Thanks,

John.
