Well ....

In prior posts, you had:

> Error message :
> router sent_archive_delivery : cannot find rouiter driver " appendfile "

Which we should not be seeing. The gap between the opening quotation mark and
the start of the word appendfile is worrisome (unless you made a typo).

Try deleting that line and re-typing it to insure there are no hidden characters.

You also had:

> ignore_target_hosts : command unknow

Which would occur if that were to appear in the wrong section of Exim's
configure file. Elsewhere, in what you posted, you ran your transports and
routers together.

You seem to have deleted the line that says:

begin transports

ELSE have stuck the archive transport in the router section...

You need to clean that up. Look at the Exim default configure file.

Then also, you mentioned workign with the file:

> ok ... the right conf file is /etc/exim4/exim4.conf-template

Not sure how that 'template' is used, but you want to verify what is in the file
it *produces* (manually or by Debmagic), which is probably:

/etc/exim4/exim4.conf

BTW - you are using a Micros**t MUA so broken I have to dig your posts out of my
Quarantine folder.

If you are also *editing* on a WinBox, you switch to one of the text-mode
editors available on your Debian box.

You do NOT need embedded soft line-feeds or similar garbage from WYSIWIG MUA's
or editors.

Check all that and see if the problem is resolved.
