If you only have a consumer-grade home broadband connection, a very large
proportion of email servers on the Internet will reject email that comes
directly from you, because most home PCs are infested with malware. You
will have to use an outgoing relay with a server-grade connection, and if
you don't have one you should continue using your ISP's relays.

Since you are using Debian, you should look at
/usr/share/doc/exim4-base/README.Debian.gz
