[exim] Exim and static routes

I have two domains on my Fedora server (running CPanel) where mail is
delivered via /etc/staticroutes (SMTP push)
This works fine except that no mail gets scanned by SpamAssassin and AV.
Is it possible to push the mail through the scanners?

Apologies if this post would have been better passed to the CPanel or
SpamAssassin forums on the web.
