Sometimes, Exim doesn't even know what the error was. The typical case
is when a host goes down and stays down for several days until it times
out. After this, Exim will bounce messages without trying until the next
retry time passes.
Also, there is the situation where a message is routed to more than one
host. Suppose they all fail, but with different errors...
I don't think it makes sense to try to reproduce the entire delivery
history in the bounce message - after all, it's all there in Exim's logs
and there is a nice utility called exigrep that can fish it all out for
you.
