[exim] exim, fetchmail and procmail and bincimap

ive had exim handling mail without a problem. Im trying to help out my
elderly parents by setting up an IMAP server to pick up their email and then
let them access it on my server
Ive added fetchmail and procmail which picks up the mail and puts it
in /home/parents/.maildir/new/

Now when i try to send them an email from my local system, exim delivers it
locally.
grenada ~ # exim -bt says

router = localuser, transport = local_delivery
and it ends up in /var/spool/mail/parents

AFAIK ive not done anything to exim whilst setting up the other stuff

Not sure what is going on or why
