I've seen this problem too and is very strange as "=" is widely used in
mailing list software and also "/" is used by some mta's (novell if i
could remember). I had to deactivate batv signatures on some addresses
because i had problems sending mails to some servers (i.e yahoo, who
seems to just blackhole them)

maybe instead of prvs=david/0297929b3b@??? the signature could
just be prvs=0297929b3b-david@??? (where the signature is a fixed
lenght hex string) or even prvs-0297929b3b-david@???, this is easy
to recognize and parse.
