You'll get this response from anyone using a version of identd which
responds to requests but refuses to give the actual user. Our servers do
this too as some people like the cosy feel that identd gives. The code we
use is at
http://www.clock.org/~fair/opinion/identd.c
If someone could please help me undertand this, I would be most grateful
