Hi all
On doing a ps aux I have a line as soo
102 18772 0.0 0.1 10600 344 ? Ss May06 0:00 /usr/sbin/exim4 -bd -q30m
Further investigation shows the user name gets replaced with the uid
mail:~# cat /etc/passwd | grep 102
Debian-exim:x:102:102::/var/spool/exim4:/bin/false
mail:~#
I would like to know, why does it not sit like as so...
dovecot 24856 0.0 0.6 3240 1480 ? S 10:15 0:00 imap-login
The username get replaced, is this because of the the hyphen or is it because Debian-exim is longer the a certain amount of characters.
Just something I was wondering.
