Hello Bill,

First of all, thanks a lot for your tip!... but what I wanted to say was that we need to maintain the Maildir structure (under, let's say, /mailboxes/javi/Maildir), with new, tmp and cur, but the idea is to force exim to create additional folders, for instance, .myfolder, when creating the mailbox for the user without it during a delivery. I mean, what we need to know is if exim is able to execute something like "maildirmake -f myfolder /mailboxes/javi/Maildir/", by using special commands under the appropriate appendfile transport. One more thing, the struture under that new folder (myfolder) must contain also new, tmp and cur, as it has been created by maildirmake.

Thanks again!

Regards,

Javi

Yes, it can do so.

This one creates a '.Suspect' folder for IMAP users who want marginal spam sequestered. Put your own top-level directory where I have <mailroot>:

(as my MUA munges the line-wraps, I've set-off the key line.)

quarantine_delivery:
driver = appendfile
user = exim
group = mail
delivery_date_add
envelope_to_add
return_path_add
maildir_format = true
mode = 0770

directory = <mailroot>/${domain}/${local_part}/Maildir/.Suspect/

create_directory = true
directory_mode = 0770
