In your aliasing router you probably have something like
data = ${lookup{$local_part}lsearch{/etc/aliases}}
Try changing it to
data = ${expand:${lookup{$local_part}lsearch{/etc/aliases}}}
and then you can use
job-1234: :fail: ${readfile{/some/file}{}}
