Thanks. At the time I wrote it I couldn't see any reason to increase
AUTH_MAX, but of course it is trivial to doso.

It didn't seem to be work copying the spec from the current release, so
I just included the ChangeLog and the NewStuff files in the snapshot.
The spec is in any case generated from a master source, though patches
to spec.txt are nevertheless useful as suggestions.
I'll probably get to this in the next few days.
