This is the behaviour of the default exim4 configuration. If you're
getting notifications of mail to invalid local parts, it must be due to
something you did to the config; without knowing how you did it, we
can't tell you how to undo it.

I suspect you've probably got some sort of catchall account set up.

"exim -d -bt invalidlocalpart@???" will probably give you the
information you need to figure out what needs to be undone.
