As Dave just said, post your log line. You can also test
authentication by doing it through telnet. Encode your username and
pass in base64 (http://www.dillfrog.com/tools/base-64_encode will do
it) and then do an "AUTH LOGIN". Put in the encoded username, slap
enter, put in the encoded pass. See if it works.
