You can use the spamd version of spamassassin, which is a daemon, so
that the script does not get executed each time a message is received
(faster).
Simply add :
spamd_address = 127.0.0.1 783
to your config file for exim to use spamd.
You will also need to uncommente some lines in demime_acl.

By using a system_filter spamassassin can rewrite emails subject to add
for instance "SPAM" in it, then allowing you not to drop spam at all,
rather letting your client (like outlook) sorting the message marked as
spam.

By creating a SPAM folder and creating a rule to redirect the messages
containing "SPAM" in the subject to this folder (that's how I use it,
works really well) .
