[exim] ok, so where is the cyrus_sasl driver already?

i'm trying to set up a simple cyrus_sasl authenticator, pulled right out of spec Ch36
"cyrus_sasl authemticator":

nothin' fancy as yet ...

sasl_cram_md5:
    driver                   = cyrus_sasl
    server_set_id            = $1
    public_name              = CRAM-MD5
    server_service           = smtp

    server_realm             = $primary_hostname

but when i try to launch exim, i get:

        authenticator sasl_cram_md5: cannot find authenticator driver "cyrus_sasl"

i'm missing something obvious, of course.
