Hi Mike,

in /etc/group you (him) should show something like this:

[...]
Debian-exim:x:102:clamav,amavis
clamav:x:104:Debian-exim,amavis
amavis:x:105:Debian-exim,clamav
[...]

Then the deliveries will work fine without need to change folder
permissions or alter owners by default.
