Subject: [exim] Exim delaying incoming messages?
Hi all,

Does anyone know anything about this problem?
I have users complaining of the odd incoming emails that arrive about
1-3 days late.
This happens to about 1 out of 30 messages, it happens to plain text
messages as well as html messages with multiple attachments.

Looking at the message sources, all the "Received:" timestamps seem to
be OK. (taking care of the different timezones)

The "Delivery-date:" timestamp shows the delay.

Is this a known issue?
And what exactly is the "Delivery-date:"?
I'm guessing it's the time that the message is actually added to the
recepient's mailbox, as opposed to merely being received by Exim.

Thanks very much for any info on this!
