wow. good memory =) nope. though, i reinstalled again ... just to be sure.
but, it *has* happened a couple of other times ... (i still have noe idea why
it's losing its suid bit!)
what _seems_ to work is changing:
--- SPOOL_DIRECTORY_MODE=0750
+++ SPOOL_DIRECTORY_MODE=0755
--- SPOOL_MODE=0640
+++ SPOOL_MODE=0644
in Local/Makefile and rebuilding exim.
this does not make sense to me, as, iiuc, spool dir should be accessible w/
exim_user-exim.
