[exim] Problem with rfc1413_*

Whenever I enable ident lookups with
rfc1413_hosts = *
rfc1413_query_timeout = 30s
exim 4.x (including 4.52) starts to prepend random log lines with random
garbage.

(log_selector = +all)

Is it just me or are there some other unknown tricks ???
