You also said RBL are broken, well we use several of them with great
results, but never rejecting on just one RBL. SPF could be used the
same way.
Anyway as i said, rejecting spf fail is not stupid, in any case is the
policy of the sender's domain which could be stupid. We publish spf fail
records for some widely forged non-existant email addresses and
rejecting mail based on those fail results is not stupid, is smart.
