Hello exim experts,

I have been grappling with a filtering conundrum for some time now, and
really need some help.

Basically, I need to know which headers are available for conditional
filtering when an email arrives into a domain and reaches the filter file.
I ask because I think/suspect some headers are in the 'envelope' which
will not be visible to the filter file ... ??
If that is not the case, then I am doing something really badly wrong here.

You might find it useful to use the file at the url below to tell me
which headers are/are not 'filterable'. That file is the message source
of an email _arriving to me in Thunderbird as a final recipient_.

http://incelsite.com/source.txt

I am particularly confused about the syntax/logic for filtering on the
Reply-to: header; I believe I should be doing that using $reply_address
..... ??
Or does that mean something other than the (mail list) reply-to address
at the filter file stage?

Finally, I'd also like to ask if I can set a filter to look
conditionally at the same header more than once in one filter;
eg
if $header_subject: contains "xyz"
and
$header_subject: does not contain "abc"
then
whatever
endif

Many thanks for your help here and I apologise if I appear to be making
things more complex than they really are, but I have become very
bogged-down with this.
Please let me know if your answers will depend on me finding out any
specific Exim config settings from my web host.

Thanks a lot,
Lee
