Not at all sure how easy that would be to incorporate into the DB_OPEN
macro that Exim uses to hid the details of different DBM libraries -
especially as is supports read-only cases.

I note, however, that there is a db_upgrade utility, which should be
pointed out to people. (Though it doesn't seem to be installed on my
Gentoo Linux system.)
