Autor: Herb Jiang Data: A: exim-users Assumpte: [exim] Problem with permission of /var/run/saslauthd directory
Hi,
I am trying to use smtp auth with saslauthd
Some discussions before said that the group of /var/run/saslauthd is sasl, so I must add Debian-exim
user into sasl group.
But I added Debian-exim user into sasl group. I still get "435 Unable to authenticate at present:
cannot connect to saslauthd daemon at /var/run/saslauthd/mux: Permission denied"
[run --> id Debian-exim --> uid=102(Debian-exim) gid=102(Debian-exim) groups=102(Debian-exim),45(sasl)]
And if I change the group of /var/run/saslauthd to Debian-exim, Everything works fine....
Will appreciate if someone can point me to the right direction in debugging and resolving this
problem.
