[exim] Bug in sender verify callouts?

An associate of mine is testing banner delays on his MTA, and warned me
of a problem with me Exim version 4.41 system which was receiving mail
from him.

My system is set up to do callouts to verify the sender, but apparently
Exim started sending him data before seeing the end of the banner (and
thus the 220).

Does anyone know if this is a known bug in a current version of Exim, or
if it was something found and fixed after 4.41??
