I sort of understand,
I basically just want to forward the mail to another user on the same mail server. So say I reside on that box and my address is blakeb@???. When the mail server receives it, I want blakeb to receive the mail, but I also want the mail then forwarded on to johnk@??? - johnk is a user that resides on the same mail server..
I tried:
blakeb: johnk
in
/etc/aliases
but that didnt work..
Thanks for your help,
Blake

I guess you probably want to edit /etc/aliases and add lines there, if
you're just using the standard Debian setup. If your machine receives
e-mail for example.co.uk, then adding the line:
matthew: someone@???
will redirect mail to matthew@??? on to someone@???.
You could also put:
matthew2: matthew
which would redirect matthew2@??? to matthew@???
(which in this scenario would then send off to someone@???).
Hope that helps.
