Issue defer instead of deny, obviously.

But you don't want to do that for addresses which have genuinely been
failed.

As long as you watch the log, and blacklist the obvious bad cases,
while sorting out your DNS, I guess that would do.

What does your operative "verify = sender" ACL stanza say, exactly?
