create_directory Use: appendfile Type: boolean Default: true
When this option is true, Exim attempts to create any missing superior
directories for the file that it is about to write. A created directory's
mode is given by the "directory_mode" option. The group ownership of a |
newly created directory is highly dependent on the operating system (and |
possibly the file system) that is being used. For example, in Solaris, if |
the parent directory has the setgid bit set, its group is propagated to |
the child; if not, the currently set group is used. However, in FreeBSD, |
the parent's group is always used. |
