Subject: [exim] 2 x mail servers
Hello Listers,

I just installed 2 x exim mail servers in my network (LAN and DMZ
area).
Below is a brief background of my network:

im currenty managing 3 sites (ex: A, B and C).

Site A:
- i have a 3-legged firewall box, one (192.168.1.0/24) is facing the
internet (connected to a cisco router), one for dmz (192.168.2.0/24)
connected to a switch and the last one (192.168.3.0/24) is for
internal LAN. the FW box is also a proxy server.
- there is another router in the LAN connecting to site B and C.
- site A has 80 computers
- mail server1 on DMZ (192.168.2.x), serving Site A at the moment using
@SiteA.com, exim 4.44, does virus(clamav)/spam (spamassassin) checks,
with tpop3d, smarthost = my ISP
- mail server2 inside the LAN (192.168.3.x), not in use at the moment,
also exim 4.44, with tpop3d, clamav and spamassassin

Site B:
- has 35 computers
- has 1 router connected to site A
- using 10.10.11.0/24
- no email/internet access at the moment
- will use @SiteB.com

Site C:
- has 63 computers
- has 1 router connected to site A
- using 10.10.12.0/24
- no email/internet access at the moment
- will use @SiteC.com

Here's what i would like to do, if possible..

1. I would like to use virtual domains on mail server 2, serving
@SiteA.com, @SiteB.com and @SiteC.com.. basically, mail server 2 will
serve the internal mailing for site A, B and C and re-route external
addrs (ex: yahoo/hotmail) to mail server1 for distribution to the out-
side world.

2. Mail server1 will be the one to accept valid emails from the outside

world and re-route it to mail server2 for distribution (to site A, B or
C)..

3. Mail server2 will also do virus checking

My questions:

1. how should i configure mail server2 to throw the external addrs to
mail server1 (DMZ Area of SiteA).

2. how should i configure mail server1 to throw valid emails (from the
outside world) to mail server2 for distribution (to Site A, B, C).

I hope somebody from this list would be kind enough to assist me or if
anyone can send a sample config from a similar setup.

cheers,
