It's probably user-mode PPP. FreeBSD uses that, especially for PPP over
Ethernet.


Make sure that you don't have any IPv6 addresses listed in your
configuration. Some of the default config files contain "::1", the IPv6
loopback address. There was a bug in some earlier versions of Exim where,
if you had an address like this in your configuration, *and* Exim was
compiled without IPv6 support, Exim would act as an open relay. Since
you're probably not using IPv6, it's safe to take any addresses like that
out of your configuration.
