Challenge-response systems (such as TMDA) are the reason that
our spam load has been cut down by 95%. I highly recommend systems
like this.
If the sender gets one of these "challenge" messages, he just needs to
let the recipient know "hey -put me on your whitelist".
Works like a charm.
