And in answer to my own question I see thunderbird uses

User-Agent: Mozilla Thunderbird 1.0 (Windows/20041206)

So I guess I couls use

warn log_message = Client=$User-Agent ?

Seems I would have to have 2 log messages for each email though.

Any better way of doing this?
