Yes, I was sort of wondering how that may be done.

But then again, it may be, so why not try it? I wasn't necessarily
thinking about listing *only* the MX(es); Exim will attempt to relay
through all hosts in the routers list, won't it?

But perhaps you know a *good* way of finding a smarthost?
