Re: the calendar issue - that's easy, no-one here uses it anyway! Exchange is only used for email, nothing else. It's not a large org really.

I tried to use Thunderbird to connect to the Exchange server, but it kept rejecting my password - normally when I use Outlook, it doesn't ask me for my password - how do I find out my password for the Outlook server?

I've not done this myself, but if faced with the same problem, I'd
probably use fetchmail to connect via POP3/IMAP to the exchange server
and then deliver the mail to Maildirs on the exim box. If you do it
right, I think the received times will be all ok .. not sure.

Certainly let us know your experiences! I hope my organization will
take the step away from Exchange someday soon :)

How are you going to deal with the calendar issue?
