Because they're 10,000 spyware/virus infected windows workstations which
don't necessarily have MTA capabilities built into thier infecting
software? We just dealt with a virus outbreak of this nature at my
office 2 weeks ago. The "patient zero" machine was trying to send it's
mails through our mail server.
