Debian is rightly unpopular with Exim upstream because the Debian
Exim4 packages have a vastly overcomplicated and buggy configuration
generator which causes hassle upstream, and because the Debian Exim
maintainers have badly managed the communications with upstream.
(And don't say you didn't manage it badly. In this example, Phil
misunderstood you, because you didn't understand how to express
yourself clearly to him.)
