The point is that having more than one version of Exim running is not a
common situation. Most of the time you have a version that is running,
and only occasionally do you have two, after an upgrade. The original
exiwhat had the version number; it turned into non-information when the
same number appeared at the start of every exiwhat output line, many
times. That is why it was removed. Less screen clutter.
