[exim] making run work

ok - I'm stumped

I'm trying to get this to work in an ACL but the run part isn't running:

        condition = ${run{/etc/exim/scripts/dict-attack 
$sender_host_address}{yes}{no}}

the dict-attack script is just and echo statement

echo "$*" >> file

It should work - what am I missing?
