open (MAIL, "|$mail_prog -oi -t -f $agent_email");

and don't add a Return-Path header at all. Return-Path is an
informational header added at delivery by the _recieving_ mail server.
You can't manipulate the actual envelope-from by changing/setting it.

And please trim your quotes and don't top-post.
