Subject: [exim] mysql timeouts + debian question
Hi Everyone,

I have been using mysql for a while, and recently noticed this in my
logs(see below). I am using the call-out feature, so there is a delay
often up to 20s or so after the rcpt to: command. Sometimes this
results in this error:

while checking a list: lookup of "SELECT domain FROM domains WHERE
domain='mydomain.com' AND type='LOCAL' AND enabled=1" gave DEFER: MYSQL:
query failed: Lost connection to MySQL server during query

Is there any built in time out for the exim mysql component? I am using
the debian testing release of exim (4.x) The mysql server is set to
timeout after 4 minutes, and the tcp connection timeouts are also quiet
large (using linux 2.4).

Also, on another matter, does anyone know of an apt-source for debian
that has the latest exim + exiscan + libspf packages? (Debian is cool,
but always a bit behind :( )

Cheers,
Andrew.
