It works here with 3dm (the old 1.x one) and the latest exim snapshot
(4.47), but they 3ware may have changed the code in 2.x.
The 3dm2 smtp client should wait for the smtp greeting message "220
your.server ESMTP Exim..." before sending any input, but it seems that
he immediatly sends his "helo $hostname", which is a protocol violation.
As a workaround, you could put "smtp_enforce_sync = false" in your
exim.conf to make exim accept this.
