Yeah Dan,

I noticed that as well now. In the email I sent, df reported 6.6MB free, after I saw this on the email, I went back to the system. Suddenly, df reported 104MB free (which is more accurate). I think I have a failing HDD or something...

I shall investigate.

Maybe I'm missing some bit of your config, but it looks like you want to know if you are within 10MB of having no space to spool.

I assume you spool to var, and /var is a part of /

And your df indicated that you have only 6.6M free...Therefore it notified you.

The bigger question is why your system thinks:

  /dev/ad0s1a       36G    33G   6.6M   100%    /

36GB - 33GB = 6.6M??

There are ample space available on the server however.... Relavent config:
check_log_inodes = 100
check_log_space = 10M
check_spool_inodes = 100
check_spool_space = 10M

  df:
  Filesystem Size Used Avail Capacity Mounted on
  /dev/ad0s1a       36G    33G   6.6M   100%    /
  procfs           4.0K   4.0K     0B   100%    /proc
  pmx:/usr/ports    18G   1.7G    15G    10%    /usr/ports
  pmx:/usr/src      18G   1.7G    15G    10%    /usr/src

HUPed the server, and it was fine....

Interesting???
