Ah, but they aren't always. Sometimes they are just "this is where I've
got to". Admittedly, the best way of doing that is to have anonymous
read-only access to the CVS. But we don't have that yet.
I won't change things at this point, however. The next snapshot will be
4.47. But *next time* ...
