Yes, mail.savelostriver.org is located on my physical 2u rack server. The
domain belongs to a customer actually but the sake of understand, it's
located on my own server/equipment.
Here is a copy of the only two lines referencing that time/reject in the
exim log.
>> FWIW, I can't get the supposed MX for modemnet.net (sitemail.everyone.net, two addresses) to accept connection on port >> 25. If you are doing callback verification, that could be a problem...
The modemnet.net domain also is located there on the same physical server as
savelostriver.org(my business name), but several years ago before having
Exim, I had my DNS/MX records for mail.modemnet.net point to
sitemail.everyone.net because they were outsourcing my mail for free (with
advertisements). Also for better understanding, I also own the modemnet.org
domain which DOES point to, and use Exim on my server. I'm in the process
of moving my modemnet.net email to the same server as well and cancelling
the Everyone.net service so that ALL mail for ALL domains I have is handled
right there on the server.
>> It's rejecting it for the reason it says. It can not verify that the sender address is legitimate. RTFM "verify=sender".
I did temporarily comment that line out of the exim.conf file and things did
work. But like many people said, that opens the door to spam, and I would
rather close off spam than fix my problem that easy way.
