[exim] install/faq

Hi, a new install of exim on a fedora core 3 box cannot do deliveries it
gives

T=local_delivery defer (13): Permission denied: creating lock file
hitching post /var/mail/.....

I am sure this was in the faq but I cannot find it, anybody point me in
the right direction?
